The Ultimate Off-Road Adventure Solar Rack.

Features

  • The most powerful van solar generation system on the market. Get up to double the solar power by tilting the rack to the ideal solar angle. Juice your airconditioner or anything else way off grid.

  • We first built this thing so we could take our entire quiver of surfboards on one massive trip. With a massive storage area underneath the sail, bring anything you would like, even your 10 foot long paddleboard.

  • The military grade solar panels can handle the most savage hail storm or roof top dance party. The lightweight but bombproof aluminum panel construction is equally apocalypse-proof.

  • When it comes to offgrid lighting bigger is always better. Blaze the sketchiest trails and blind any zombies in your path.

  • Roofs are for partying. Plain and simple.

  • Create a drive in movie experience in the middle of nowhere with the custom solar sail projector screen. Can you say Middle of nowhere Mario Cart 3 times fast?

Upgrades

  • Starlink allows you to have internet anywhere, and work or party in more remote places than you thought possible.

We designed a system that slides the Starlink out of the back of the solar sail for unobstructed connectivity at the push of a button.

    Option 1: Standard Starlink (More)

Option 2: Standard Starlink 12V adaptation (More)

    Option 3: High-Performance Starlink (More)

  • With our custom solar sail projector screen, turn the solar sail into a drive-in movie theater with our custom 15’ solar sail projector screen.

  • The solar sail is a premium product for people that value high quality, long lasting equipment. After years of battle testing solar sails, we learned the hard way that cutting cost on design and components is always more expensive in the long run. So we decided to say screw cutting corners and choose only the most durable and high quality design and components. Go look up how much it costs for 1400 watts of military grade walkable solar panels and get back to me.

  • In real life, The unit for the 170 sprinter that has 1200 watts consistantly generates over 1000 watts and maxes out around 1150 if its super cold and sunny. Many times I have seen it generating 300-400 watts while laying flat, then when tilted properly, boost up to over 1000 which is the most satisfying feeling imaginable. This is enough to properly power an ac unit or pretty much anything else you will use in the van. Tilting is your friend.

  • There is 10-11.5 inches of clearance under the lid, depending on where you are lined up with the structural cross bars. This is enough for a max air fan to open completely, and for most air conditioners. It is also big enough to keep the fin on most surf boards. Paddle boards usually need the fin off.

  • We designed the rack with painstaking detail to keep it strong but light. The rack and solar with no addons weighs roughly 360 pounds. Adding the lights, starlink, aluminum decking in the box and other optional features usually puts the rack between 400 to 500 lbs. This is well within the capacity of the roof supports.

  • Short answer yes. Most rooftop AC units fit under the sail.

Long answer is that depending on the rooftop AC unit, you may have to open the sail while the AC is on to prevent overheating the solar and AC.

If the rooftop AC exhaust is facing upwards (EX: Nomadic Cooling units) , you need to open the sail while the AC is on.

If the rooftop AC exhaust faces backwards, a secondary exhaust fan can be installed to allow for closed sail AC.

  • You void your warranty. If it is reasonably windy, don’t open the sail high enough for it to catch the wind. It is a bad idea, and damages are not covered by warranty if its open in winds above 10mph.

We are working on a wind sensor system to auto close the sail if winds get to high. All sails installed now will be able to be upgraded with wind sensors free of charge.

  • 1 year warranty on all Landship Components including the aluminum body and panels.
Actuators system, solar panels, magnetic locks, and lights are all covered by manufacturers warranty that are at least 1 year, and in some cases much longer.

  • Turning frowns upside down is our favorite thing to do outside of mowing down zombies on the way to the surf break in our apocalypse proof vans.
