Inspired by traditional boatbuilding and the early wooden cars, as well as by new sustainable technologies and systems, we set out to build a van that embodied the craftsmanship of the past and the innovation of modern day.

Recirculating Shower

With our state of the art filtration system, you can take a long luxurious shower without depleting your water or energy supply.

When you want to stay off the grid a little longer, our tilting solar rack will allow you to maximize solar draw efficiency.

Bunk Beds

With the top bunk measuring 6’5 x 4’8 and the bottom bunk measuring 6’ x 4’, your whole family can get a good night sleep

Composting Toilet

Our unique composting toilet design is private, easy to maintain, and a breeze to empty so that your entire experience is pleasant.

You walk around to the other side and the side door slides open revealing a warm, inviting space. The first thing you notice are the curves! A space filled and defined by gentle curves; a welcome reprieve from the hostile, angular, box-like construction of most spaces. The subtle curve of the cabinet faces, the repeated and flowing curves of the white oak fluting adorning the walls and delighting your sense of touch as your finger tips dance across the ridges. Your eyes drift over the sleek stove and counter top, taking in the copper sink framed by the wooden porthole perfectly capturing the setting sun.

You step out of the van and start to walk away, thinking you’ve seen it all. When all of a sudden it hits you, a question burning in your mind with the intensity of the sun - “where on earth do you go to the bathroom???” And as easily as you ask that question the composting toilet slides out of drawer slides from under the bench into the privacy of the shower curtain. “My god”, you think to yourself, “It really does have it all”!

As the van pulls up, your eyes immediately caught by the striking western red cedar paneling that streams down each side of the van and the three custom wooden portholes. There’s not another van on the market that brings with it the nostalgia and sentimentality of the classic woodie cars from the early days of surf culture, let alone the utterly unique circular windows that conjure images in your head of great wooden ships and adventures at sea. As the van pulls into park, your eyes drift upwards to the custom storage compartment that sits atop the roof and you’re surprised to see the top mechanically tilting up to catch the low angle of the sun late in the day. As the solar panels raise up, you notice the roof deck that is revealed beneath them, a perfect perch to stargaze or to steal a peak at the incoming sets at a new surf spot.

Your gaze moves around the space, taking in the spacious seating area that converts to two bunk beds. Up and forward across the western red cedar ceiling planks, leading you to a distinctive spiraling copper shower curtain surrounding rainfall shower features. Only then do you notice that the entryway converts to a shower with the pull of a curtain and that the walnut flooring of the seating area seamlessly transitions to teak, sloping down to a brass shower grate. A peak under the kitchen counter reveals the maze of filters and pumps that make up the recirculating shower system that allows you to make the most of the water and energy you have off grid.
